John Green - Chairman I was born in Shackleford within days of the declaration of WW2. We moved to Puttenham in 1943 and I started at the school in 1945. We have had four generations who started their education at Puttenham hence my particular fondness of the building. In 1960 I joined the RAF for nine years then going to work on the front line for Surrey Ambulance Service. I became a councillor in 1979, moving onto vice-chair in 1980 and have been chairman since 1991.
I am also chairman of Puttenham Youth Club, a member of Smiths Charity and serve on the Puttenham & Wanborough Housing Society.
My other interests are butterfly conservation and bird watching both from my early childhood, and I also have a passion for gardening. Pecuniary Form
Mike Blundell Jones - Vice-Chair I have lived in Puttenham for over 25 years with my wife Sally and our three children who have all left home now but are frequent visitors. I am a Partner in an Investment and Wealth Management Recruitment Company providing specialist recruitment services to the investment and wealth management sectors.
I am the Vice Chairman of the Parish Council and have been a councillor for over 15 years. My direct responsibilities cover all the recreational amenities for the parish including the Jubilee Field, together with the football pavilion, tennis court , skate park and the adventure and toddlers playground. Additionally, I have responsibility for health and safety and have actively managed the fund raising for all the new recreational amenities.
I am also Treasurer and founding member of the Annual Puttenham Village Firework display.
My interests are shooting, playing cricket and watching rugby and football. Pecuniary Form
Richard Griggs I have lived in the village for 15years and am married with three children and three grandchildren. Now retired, but I previously owned a company constructing office interiors for major companies throughout London and South-East.
My interests are cars and rugby.
As a parish councillor I am involved with the Hogs Back campaign, general planning issues and now co-ordinating the Neighbourhood Plan. Pecuniary Form
David Williams I moved to Puttenham from Ripley in 1976, with my wife Pat and 3 daughters, two of whom attended the village school. I have been a member of the Parish Council for about twenty years and enjoy the rural way of life in Puttenham. I am a keen naturalist and advise the council on all environmental matters. I am now semi-retired but do voluntary conservation work. My last full time job was with Surrey Wildlife Trust. Pecuniary Form
